They were undefeated for thirty years, until Phillip of Macedon and his son Alexander annihilated them at Chaeronea in 332 BCE.


Epam works to save and strengthen Thebes and to neutralize the Spartan threat once and for all. At the same time he struggles to preserve his most important bond with Pelo, in the face of danger and change. A story of friendship and adventure, both the political and personal themes accelerate to a surprising denouement.
